Anzac Day 2025
Last week, our Kindy to Year 2 students explored the importance of ANZAC Day through a range of meaningful and engaging activities.
The children enjoyed listening to stories like ANZAC Ted, My Grandad Marches on ANZAC Day, and The ANZAC Puppy, which helped them understand the ANZAC spirit of bravery and sacrifice, and the importance of being thankful for those who serve others.
In the Art and Collage Area, some drew and created bright red poppies to honour the ANZACs, while in the Home Corner, others brought history to life through role play and dress-ups. Some of our children even baked some delicious ANZAC biscuits, a fun and hands-on way to connect with the traditions of the day!
As we reflected on the stories of service and sacrifice, we thought about Jesus, who gave His life for us out of love. Just as we remember and give thanks for the ANZACs, we remember the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made and how His love inspires us to be kind, brave, and thankful every day.
