What is a SmartRider?

A SmartRider is a convenient, reusable smart card used for printing, borrowing Library equipment, College bus transportation before and after school, Transperth transportation, and signing in and out of the College if you arrive late or leave early.

How do I order a Replacement SmartRider?

If your SmartRider is lost or damaged, you will need to order a new SmartRider from MonitorWA.

  1. Order your Student SmartRider from the SmartRider ordering portal and agree to the Terms & Conditions.

  2. Type "Providence" in the search bar, and select "All orders will be sent to Providence Christian College for collection."

  3. Enter your child's details and address.

  4. Enter and confirm your contact details.
Please do not select "post to a different address", as the College needs to ensure the SmartRider is correctly linked to your student's account.

  5. Purchase optional accessories.
Accessories are optional to purchase and are not required.

  6. Proceed to checkout.

  7. You will be contacted when your child's new SmartRider is ready.

Can I use my SmartRider for bus transportation?

Your SmartRider can be used for the College Bus services before and after school within the designated routes, as well as Transperth services.

How do I print using my SmartRider?

Your SmartRider doubles as a printing card. Simply swipe your card at any College printer to release your print job.

Printing Allowance
At the start of the school year, all students are given a $2 printing allowance. Student accounts are automatically topped up with $0.20 every day until the account reaches $2.

Your SmartRider money is not connected to your printing money - they are two different systems.

Printing Balance
To check your balance, swipe your SmartRider on any College printer or sign in to PaperCut.

How do I use my SmartRider to borrow Library equipment?

Simply present your SmartRider at the Library Circulation Desk, and our staff will assist you in checking out your desired materials.

How do I use my SmartRider for signing in and out of the College?

When arriving late or leaving early from the College, swipe your SmartRider at the kiosks located in Student Services. This will record your arrival or departure along with the time and reason.
