Ladies of Providence: Growing Friendships and Fostering Community
Guests were warmly welcomed into a beautifully styled, shabby-chic setting where fresh flowers, vintage teapots, and personal china brought by attendees created a charming and homely atmosphere. A beautifully prepared afternoon tea of sandwiches, cakes, and freshly baked scones provided a relaxed opportunity for the ladies to enjoy fellowship, inspiring talks, and engaging table activities that encouraged wholesome conversation that fostered new friendships across the college community.
The Ladies of Providence Afternoon Tea was created to provide a space where women could slow down, enjoy each other’s company, connect with like-minded women, and experience genuine encouragement within the Providence Christian College community.
A key focus of the afternoon was the importance of intentionally creating spaces where women can build supportive relationships and develop a deeper sense of belonging. Through shared stories, conversation, and hospitality, the event reinforced how valuable community is in the life of our college.
One attendee summed up the afternoon beautifully:
It was a great time of fellowship and getting to know the ladies of Providence. Food was amazing, and I had the best time. You all are such a blessing.
The enthusiasm surrounding the afternoon has created great momentum for future gatherings.
Alongside these gatherings, Providence Christian College is also excited to continue growing The Fathering Project, creating further opportunities for parents to build friendships, support one another, and be encouraged both spiritually and practically as part of our school community.
If you would like to be part of future Ladies of Providence events, The Fathering Project, or other community initiatives at Providence Christian College, please contact Mr Sam Wittmann (Community Chaplain) or the school office.
Whether you’d like to attend an event, volunteer, or help behind the scenes, there are many opportunities to get involved and strengthen the wonderful sense of community that makes Providence such a special place.
