Recently, our Kindy students enjoyed a wonderful incursion from the Association for the Welfare of Children in Hospital WA INC. The Hospital Incursion Programme educates and prepares young healthy children for possible hospitalisation or visits to the doctor or dentist. The aim is to minimise anxiety, fear and misconceptions children may have about medical intervention.

During the incursion, ‘Nurse Kellie’ talked to the children all about what it is like going to the children’s hospital. The children enjoyed playing with an abundance of medical-themed resources, including having a ride in a wheelchair and using crutches!
