As has been customary over the last few years, Providence Christian College took part in the Slazenger Cup Tennis tournament organised by Tennis West. The round robin matches were played at the Alexander Park Tennis Club in Menora, North Perth. The boys who represented the College were Dorne Hills (captain). Luke Hunter, Joshua Paizee and Jared Cikara. Providence Christian College played against teams from John Forest Senior High school, Mazenod College, CBC Fremantle and Swan Christian College. The boys fought hard and punched way above their weight. The youngest team member Luke Hunter won one match and Jared Cikara also won one match. Although we couldn’t make it to knockout stage the boys fought bravely against much stronger opposition. The tournament was well organised and it was pleasing to see the boys from all the participating schools conducting themselves in a manner which would make every spectator proud. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Hunter for coming along to support our team. We will come back stronger next year.
