Dear Parent/Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you and your family safe and well. It has been yet another interesting start to the year. I appreciate your patience as we work out the best way to continue to engage your children in their educational journey, while we continue to keep them safe.

Our College Principal, Mr Bill Innes has emailed updates this week, and you would have received an update regarding protocol for next week. We understand that it is difficult, but we need to adhere to health protocols and do what is in the best interests of our College and our Community. With this in mind, we ask that after you have dropped your children at class, that you exit the College grounds in a timely manner and do not enter the classroom to help maintain the safe environment for all concerned.

In the Primary School, we will be commencing swimming lessons on Monday 8th February. State Swim is a private pool and our school will be the only students in the building during the lesson. We ask that parents do not attend the lessons for the first week. In the second week State Swim will allow parents in to observe if they so wish.

Officially this coming week will be Week 1 of Term 1. This will mean that this term is now an 8 week term.
New families to the school must still report to the marquee on arrival.
Our Parent/Teacher Information evening has been moved to our new Week 2 (Tuesday 16th Feb). You will receive more information next week.
During this week, all staff will be wearing masks, except during direct instruction time.
Swimming lessons start this week as planned Year 3-6.
All excursions and outings will continue as per COVID safety guidelines.
Assemblies are on hold until further notice. (Hopefully to resume in Week 6, Tuesday 9th March)
Chapel will be held in a closed, online forum for the students.
The Swimming Carnival and Time Trials will proceed with as planned
.

We will continue to communicate with you as the way forward becomes clearer, and we hope and pray that this does not become the norm in our state. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact the College.

God Bless
Matt Splatt
